“All God’s Commandments are true”
Summary
We are living in a multi-standard culture. These are usually legal provisions. The number of bureaucratic regulations is also great. Each institution is created by numerous legislation processes. There are also, known for centuries, moral norms. Each type of morality has its own structure of norms and behaviour principles. Since the end of the 19th century situational ethics and moral relativism have been spreading in the western culture. It questions the existence of universal and commonly applicable moral norms. The God’s commandments (Decalogue) are particularly negated. It is often said about selective obeying the Ten Commandments. That is why it is urgently needed to remind the binding power of The Commandments. Of course, the Ten Commandments should be interpreted in the context of the New Testament. Today, at the core of this interpretation, there lies a christological criterion. It means that all of the Ten Commandments (lex naturalis, Decalogue, lex evangelica) are being fulfilled in the two Great Commandments of the love of God and neighbour. A visible example of not complying with the Commandments is the culture of death that exists nowadays. It is a sign of not only atheism but also the destruction of humanity.

HERMENEUTICS OF THE WORD OF GOD IN LITURGY.
Summary
Bible and liturgy as sacred texts are basic, although not the only ones, sources of homilies. These sources should be analysed as closely related with one another. Homily, mystagogic in its nature and function, is preaching the mystery of Christ revealed in the Holy Scripture and celebrated in the liturgy. For in „here and now” of the liturgy redemptive events revealed in the Bible are being actualised. To a considerable extent the Bible was written for liturgical purposes. Therefore liturgy is the major exegetic place of the Holy Scripture. A preacher interpreting holy texts should be aware of this mutual intertwining of the Bible and liturgy. Liturgical hermeneutics of the Word of God takes into consideration both a sense and functions of biblical texts within liturgy. To achieve this aim the content of the Bible is compared to the meaning of other biblical texts, euchological texts as well as the meaning of signs and liturgical symbols. The Word of God in liturgy, however, is interpreted above all in the light of the mystery of Christ celebrated in the cult. The redemptive mystery itself receives, on the other hand, deeper light and understanding from the proclaimed Word of God. Hermeneutical technique analyses as well the way biblical texts are distributed within a liturgical year. Attention is drawn on this occasion to the rules of interpretation of the Word of God in liturgy, which are as follows: chrystocentrism, dynamics of acts of the Holy Spirit, ecclesiality, particular needs of listeners.

THE WORD OF GOD – THE WORD OF FAITH – THE WORD OF PREACHING. Dogmatic theology in relation to the exegesis and homiletics.
Summary
Presentation of the issue: In this study the author takes the view, that the role of dogmatic theology is to be a kind of link between the revealed and absorbed in faith the word of God (exegesis), and its proclamation, taking into account the diverse cultural, social or anthropological conditions (homiletics).
Background: The Bible as the word of God and the first and most perfect testimony of His Revelation is and will remain the highest instance in the community of Church (norma normans non normata).
Results: Every dogma expresses only a particular, defined part of the whole of the Christian faith and can be fully understood only by looking at the entirely Christian and biblical kerygma, at the other truths of the Deposit of Faith and by getting the right proportions between them (the hierarchy of truths).
Conclusions: The task of every homilist and preacher is continuous exploration of revealed truths, which are expressed in the dogmatic formulae of the Church, in connection with a critical reflection on the workshop and the ways to communicate these contents to the people of God.

THE TEXT AND MUSICAL OVERTONE OF PENITENTIAL PSALM NO. 51 IN POLISH RELIGIOUS SONGS
In the reservoir of prayers and church songs, Psalm 51, briefly titled The Miserere Psalm or "Prayer of Repentance", has the role of being the most important and popular penitential psalm. Among the many translations of this psalm special meaning was given by the poetic paraphrase of Franciszek Karpiński, which begins with the verse: Bądź mi litościw, Boże nieskończony ("Have mercy on me, O God"). In the last two centuries many melodies were composed for this translation. The melody, published for the first time in 1878 in Krakow in the Śpiewniczek of Rev. Jan Siedlecki, gained a prominent place in songbooks and in oral tradition. Since then, this melody has, with minor changes, been consistently reprinted several times up to the present. The free translation of The Miserere Psalm was also used for a few other songs of penitential character. Among them are psalm songs which in structure and melodic pattern are based on Gregorian psalm tones. The main theological value of the teaching contained in Psalm 51 consists not only in its penitential character. This Psalm also expresses a trustful prayer for forgiveness and beseeches God's help in conversion.

THE UNIQUE DEVOTION OF THE MORNING PRAYER OF CHRISTMAS
Summary
„The Morning Prayer of the Christmas” – performed usually before the Shepherd’s Mass – is a unique devotion which prepares for the immediate celebration of the Nativity of the Lord. The structure of this devotion is based partially on the Liturgy of the Hours but the texts and melodies represent a folk tradition. The eldest known version of its text is from the first part of the XIX century (handwritten Kancjonał z Ligoty from 1832). The first known music written to the text is from the second part of the XIX century (Chorał do Kancjonału ks. Janusza from 1873). There is a superficial analogy between the Catholic devotion of „The Morning Prayer of the Christmas” and a popular Protestant matins, but they are essentially different. Nevertheless in both cases they express a strong devotional tradition popular, mainly, among the Christian communities of the Cieszyn Silesia.
