Polish translations of St. Thomas Aquinas hymn “Adoro te devote” in Catholic Songbooks
The origin of the Eucharistic hymns, including Adoro te devote of Saint Thomas Aquinas was the fruit of the Eucharistic devotion developed in the Middle Ages, which was manifested by the desire to see the Host and the establishment of the Feast of Corpus Christi. Research on the original anthem in Latin has collected three of its versions: Adoro te deuote, latens ueritas; Adoro te devote, latens Deitas; Adoro these supplex latens Deitas. It seems, however, that most of translations have Adoro te devote, latens Deitas as a model. Author of the study found 7 versions of the translations of this hymn. They are preserved in collections of varying provenance, both temporal and territorial. Translations generally differ in the size of the verses. Are used texts included 11-, 12- and 13-syllable. The stanzas are 4-line, with female rhymes, perfect and contiguous: aabb. The number of versions of the hymn Adoro te devote in Polish translation testifies to the great popularity of this hymn among the faithful.

The Songs of Praise to the Holy Trinity in The Book of Songs of Archdiocese Katowice
The Book of Songs of Katowice Archdiocese, published in 2000 by Rev. Professor Antoni Reginek, contains 9 songs of praise to the Holy Trinity in the collection in which they are numbered from 197 to 205. Compared with other collections of church songs, it is placed as the second in row as far as the quantity of such works is concerned. The biggest collection of songs of praise to the Holy Trinity is the Evangelical Book of Songs (Bielsko-Biała 2002) with a number of eleven songs. Following The Book of Songs of Katowice Archdiocese is the book The Way to Heaven (Droga do nieba, Opole 2006) with six songs and The Hymn Book by Rev. Jan Siedlecki (Kraków 2017) with five songs of praise to the Holy Trinity. The texts of the analysed songs can be divided into three formal genres: antiphonies, hymns, and stanza songs. Their content is bound up by descriptions of the nature of the Holy Trinity (Divinity and Unity), internal relations (creation, origin, and inspiration) and the external action (creation, salvation and devotion). The language of the songs is rich with metaphors and poetics that approximates the mystery of God. Musically, the songs are characterized by the noble simplicity. The melody in majority of them is held in key major and in two cases one can find references to church modes. Four are held in 4/4 meter, and two in duple meter, which reinforces the musical illustration of the Holy Trinity mystery. The ambitus of the songs accommodates to the average human voice capacity and varies from the largest one containing the eleventh (203) to the smallest one in the interval of the sixth (199, 202). The examples of particularly vital songs can be: the Silesian Hymn Te Deum Laudamus or We praise you God (199) and the song The Undivided and Holy Trinity (202). This hymn is known and sung in all parishes of the archdiocese (paradoxically in all churches it is sung in the meter different from 3/4). The second song, apart from the melodic variation placed in the collection (counter-facture to the morning song When the morning stars are awake [549] and the evening hymn All our daily matters [553]) has its original version which functions in the living musical tradition in the Silesian Chełm parish.

Jesus constituted Eucharist in the atmosphere of love: „having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end” (Joh 13:1). It is especially stressed in the anaphora and all The Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom.
In this article author considers liturgical hymn about God’s source of love and he recalls 150th anniversary of the Congregation of the Resurrection’s participation in the mission in aid of the Bulgarian Union. First of all he shows genesis of this congregation. Next he analysis a history of its work in Bulgaria: years of beautiful and creative apostolate, the difficult and tragic time of war, and after that the period of communistic regime. The great works of this congregation were canceled and some of friars were imprisoned. Members of the Congregation of the Resurrection treated a time of prisoning as a „second university” and to the end of their lives they served to the people with joy.

Liturgical rites of the anniversary of marriage
The paper presents the development of liturgical rites related to the Wedding Anniversary. It reveals the process of evolution of marriage rituals: from domestic rituals to wedding ceremonies celebrated in churches. Post-Tridentine Roman Ritual (1614) as well as its complements introduced at the beginning of the 20th century (1913 and 1925) did not include jubilee celebrations. Wedding anniversary celebrations were finally added to the Roman Ritual in 1952.
Pius V’s Roman Missal did not include rites of anniversaries. Only the Missal of John XXIII on the occasion of the 25th and the 50th wedding anniversary indicated votive Mass formulas: De Sanctissima Trinitate, De Beata Maria Virgine including the additional oration from Pro gratiarum actione. The celebration was to be concluded with the prayer over the spouses, included in the Roman Ritual.
The first edition of the post-conciliar Ordo celebrandi matrimonium (1969) did not contain any reference to the anniversary. Editio typica altera (1991) provided the appropriate formulas of the Mass and blessings based on De bendictionibus (1984). Polish editions of the Sacrament of Marriage rites preserve the traditions of the hymn Veni Creator and the binding of hands with the stole during the rite of marriage and – similarly – the rite of the anniversary. Further editions of the Missal of Paul VI provide forms of the Mass for the anniversary placing them among ritual masses (1970, 1975) or votive masses (2002).
Liturgical books currently provide celebration patterns for the 25th, 50th and 60th wedding anniversary. They also encourage priests, deacons and lay persons to give blessings on other occasions. The renewal of wedding vows ceremony as an element of the mystagogy of the Sacrament of Marriage is widely practiced in Domestic Church oasis retreats of the Light-Life Movement.

Hymn Adoro te devote – amazing testimony of Eucharistic piety from the Middle Ages – is different from other hymns such as Lauda Sion or Pange lingua which describe the Eucharist in a poetic way since it turns in a prayer directly to Christ present in the sign of bread. The Author of the article points first of all at certain aspects of Eucharistic mentality of the Middle Ages which seem to be forgotten and which are extremely important also for a man of today. The key to a theological analysis of the hymn is its structure. First of all faith is shown as a mean of an access to a hidden truth (latens veritas) followed by the consequence of this faith – life in Christ and with Christ. Finally the hymn introduces a praying person into an eschatological perspective – a desire to see the Risen Lord directly. The Author analysis the text in relation to other works of St. Thomas Aquinas and shows that today the hymn Adoro te devote may be a precious assistance in getting closer to the mystery of the Eucharist.

Physical activity as a way of spending past time in a Christian family
The changes, taking place in the life of the Christian family today, include a variety of areas. These include free time. At this time, the Christian family can make different kinds of activities. Among them physical activity is noteworthy. It can be walking, morning gymnastics, playing together and team games perfomed outdoor as well as in sports and recreation facilities. Besides, summer sports are worth mentioning (eg. cycling, playing football, sailing, swimming, participation in canoeing) and also winter ones (eg. skiing, sledding, ice skating). The selection of a particular form of activity depends on personal tastes and interests of family members, available financial resources, organizational capacity, the fashion for a healthy lifestyle. Each of these forms is conducive to family integration, prevents diseases of civilization, gives pleasure, shapes the character and helps in acquiring virtues. Direct contact with nature can help discover Beauty, Wisdom and Love of the Creator. Therefore, physical activity in a Christian family, as shown in the article complies with educational and religious functions, but may not lead to the disappearance of religious practice.
In conclusions, the Catholic Church must take pedagogical and pastoral initiatives in this area. One can mention here, for example, sports, games and activities for families organized in the parishes and retreat centers. Also, family rallies, bicycle pilgrimages, kayaking and sports festivals addressed to the families of the parish and the diocese are worth considering.
