Methodology of promoting the Spirituality of Communion in the Light of “Novo millennio ineunta” and the letter of John Paul II to priests for Holy Thursday 2005, “A Formula of Consecration: A ‘Formula of life’”
Summary
At the close of the Great Jubilee of the Year 2000 in his letter Novo millennio ineunte John Paul II pointed at pastoral priorities and paths to follow (compare: NMI 29-41) to make the Church the home and the school of communion. He issued a strong warning against the temptation of activism: “Before making prac-tical plans, we need to promote a spirituality of communion […]. Let us have no illusions: unless we follow this spiritual path, external structures of communion will serve very little purpose. They would become mechanisms without a soul, ‘masks’ of communion rather than its means of expression and growth” (NMI 43). It follows that promoting the spirituality of communion should be “the guiding principle of education wherever individuals and Christians are formed, wherev¬er ministers of the altar, consecrated persons, and pastoral workers are trained, wherever families and communities are being built up” (NMI 43). According to the pastoral priorities defined by the Pope, the perspective of sainthood can be related to the attitude of “believing”; the priority of prayer can be associated with “remembering”; the sacrament of reconciliation with “forgiving”; listening to the word of God with “receiving”; Eucharist with “giving thanks”; the priority of grace with “giving”; preaching the word of God with “going out”. Similarly, following the suggestion made by John Paul II, a tool to implement the spirituality of com¬munion can be “a formula of life” hidden in the words of the consecration: “to take bread in one’s hand” is to let the Holy Spirit lead us especially in prayer; “saying the blessing” means to listen; “broke” means to be purified; “giving bread away” means to evangelize; “this is my Body” means to create communion; “take this, all of you, and eat of it” means to spread mercy; “do this in memory of me” means to love by the love of Christ and in the power of the Spirit of God. Following the said attitudes, we have become promoters of the spirituality of communion on the basis of which we are able “to make the Church the home and the school of communion” (NMI 43).

DAS METHODENPROBLEM DER PASTORALTHEOLOGIE
Der Verfasser des Beitrags wollte die Frage beantworten, ob die Pastoraltheologie eine für sich charakteristische allgemeine Untersuchungsmethode besitzt (3). Zuerst aber zeigte er die Gründe für die Komplexität des Problems (l), um besser die Schwierigkeiten zu verstehen, die ihren Entwicklungsprozess begleiteten.
1. Die Komplexität des besprochenen Problems kommt aus der Tatsache, dass die Pastoraltheologie eine relativ junge und der Praxis am nächsten stehende theologische Disziplin ist. Diese Tatsachen beeinflussen Art und Entwicklung der allgemei-nen und partikularen Methoden.
2. Man kann vier theologisch-pastorale Untersuchungsarten unterscheiden: monodisziplinäre, multidisziplinäre, interdisziplinäre und intradisziplinäre. Sie alle haben das gleiche materielle und formale (oder nur formale) Untersuchungssubjekt. Sie unterscheiden sich aber durch ihre Ziele und Methoden voneinander. Gegenwärtig werden am meisten interdisziplinäre Untersuchungen benutzt.
3. Diese Untersuchungen bestehen aus drei Etappen des Untersuchungsvorgehens: ekklesiologische (kriteriologische), kairologische (soziologische) und prakseologische (strategische).
Erst seit 227 Jahren besitzt die Pastoraltheologie den Status einer selbstständiger Universitätsdisziplin und sucht ständig nach neuen optimalen Selbstentwicklungsmethoden. Man sollte, wie es scheint, weitere Untersuchungen in dieser Hinsicht erwarten. Jede wissenschaftliche Disziplin sollte doch ihre Methoden so anpassen, dass sie der von ihr untersuchten Realität am besten entsprechen. Dies betrifft besonders die Pastoraltheologie, die so stark mit der sich dynamisch entwickelten Realität verbunden ist.

DIFFERENT CONCEPTS OF THE HOMILY, EXAMPLES AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS.
Summary
Through comparison, this article presents two concepts of the homily, which have been discussed in the Church since the Second Vatican Council until the last interventions delivered by the members of the world Synod of Bishops on the „Word of God in the Life and Mission of the Church”, held in October 2008 at the Vatican. After a brief presentation of the contemporary discussions on the concept of the homily, two texts of homilies based on different concepts are presented and accompanied by a side by side in-depth analysis. The conclusion states that it’s not enough to teach someone in order to make of him, or her, a good Christian. To reach this aim – far more then teaching – it seems appropriate to facilitate an aware participation of the faithful in the celebrated mystery of Christ and to shine the light of that mystery on their daily life.

SOCIOLOGÍA DE LA RELIGIÓN - ANCILLA TEOLOGIAE PASTORALIS
La teología pastoral posee un instrumental autónomo cognoscitivo. Se propone unos fines concretos; propósitos que exigen una búsqueda permanente a su realización. Una de las premisas que sirven para sacar conclusiones ade-cuadas es sociología de religión. Ésta se guía por una metodología autónoma, y los resultados de sus investigaciones pueden ser útiles para los que se ocupan del pastoral.
