THE SACRAMENT OF THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVEN’T REACHED THE USE OF REASON (AND FOR THE MENTALLY DISABLED FROM BIRTH).
Summary
Relying on the Code of Canon Law which states that „[t]he anointing of the sick can be administered to a member of the faithful who, having reached the use of reason, begins to be in danger due to sickness or old age” (CCL Can. 1004 §1), the author of the present article aims at proving that, from the theological point of view, there are no contraindications against administering this sacrament to seriously ill persons who, with all certainty, haven’t reached the use of reason and whose loved ones ask for it with faith. This problem concerns very small children and the mentally disabled from birth. On the basis of careful biblical, historical and theological analysis, it has become clear that the penitential dimension of Anointing of the Sick is not primary, and as such is not an obstacle to confer this sacrament on those who, having been baptized, have not reached the use of reason and do not bear the personal guilt. The act of faith, which is essential in all sacraments and which is required on the part of the recipients, can be realized through the fact that the sacrament is administered in an environment of faith surrounding ill children or the mentally disabled. The act of conferring this sacrament to them is a sign of their unity with Christ, crucified and risen, and will serve as a spiritual strengthening for their loved ones.

Christian formation of the disabled in the family
Summary
Christian formation aims at the formation of the man in God’s image. It is implemented in many places, among which the family is of particular importance. The community of the family is the first and basic place as well as the subject of religious formation. The Christian family, based on the sacramental marriage, is the place where the offspring is born and educated in a versatile way. All the family members, especially the children, and the disabled children, are the objects of the Christian formation in the family. All the disabled children, regardless of the kind and extent of disability, should undergo such a formation. Christian formation consists of: the human, intellectual, spiritual and apostolic formation. The limitations which result from disability influence the extent and methods of the Christian formation in the family.

DIE PROBLEMATIK BEHINDERTER PERSONEN IN DEN KATECHETISCHEN LEHRBÜCHERN DER GEGENWART
Das Problem von Geistigbehinderten gewinnt in den letzten Jahren immer mehr an Bedeutung und wird sowohl im Schulwesen, in öffentlichen Behörden als auch in der Kirche aufgeworfen. Es wird versucht, Geistigbehinderte in die Gesellschaft zu integrieren. Deswegen werden für się neue Lern-, Studiums- und Arbeitsmöglichkeiten angebo-ten.
Der lange und zeitaufwendige Integrationsprozess bedarf einerseits einer Änderung in der Denkweise der nich-tbehinderten Menschen. Andererseits müssen bestimmte Maßnahmen getroffen werden, um mit Geistigbehinderten in Kontakt zu kommen. Zu diesen Maßnahmen gehört u.a. eine korrekt ausgerichtete und gezielte Erziehung der Nichtbehinderten, die es ermöglicht, Geistigbehinderten ihren eigenen Platz in der Gesellschaft zu schaffen und sie nicht als "benachteiligt" zu betrachten. Zum Integrationsprozess soll außerdem die Katechese beitragen, in der der Schwerpunkt vorwiegend auf das Leiden und nicht auf die Geistigbehinderten selbst gelegt wird. Es kann daher eine richtige Einstellung den Geistigbehinderten gegenüber gefördert werden.

Intellectual disability as a periphery?
Summary
The Church always took measures for people in need of support and assistance. Teaching successive popes and the Second Vatican Council repeatedly undertook the subject. Recalled by Pope Francis option for the poor it can be read in terms of the existential. Disability because it is often perceived as a form of poverty, physical or mental. Therefore, as the Church’s teaching is the actual practice in this topic? Or the community of the Church with disabilities are full members or rather are created for them to certain groups in advance to determine their dysfunctions? This article addresses the issue of intellectual disability as a special space to proclaim the Gospel. Also tries to answer the question whether this space is not a field mission of the Church.
